Phospholutions is a State College, PA based company commercializing a Penn State technology initially developed by Dr. Jonathan Lynch (College of Agriculture / Department of Plant Sciences). The fundamental  approach is identifying a material that holds phosphorus in the soil to be more available to plants as well as ways to use that material to capture and recycle phosphorus that is found in run-off and waste water.

Plans are under way for products that address the ever-growing phosphorus problem manifesting itself in local streams, rivers and estuaries as red and green tide algae. We are pleased have worked with Maumee Ventures, the venture arm of Andersons, Inc., to successfully raise funds for this investment.
